Hustonville Gets the Go-Ahead for Sewer Upgrades

The County of Lincoln has begun a sewer rehabilitation project that has been in the making for several years. The project, in its entirety, is expected to cost upwards of $5 million. Much of the expense will be paid for in grants and loans. The timeframe for the sewer upgrades will be approximately one year, with a probability of completion prior to that. Once the city completes the project the connections to the sewer from residences can be at the assistance of a certified plumber. Notification letters will be sent to homeowners regarding landscaping and what to do to protect it from the ongoing repairs. The district will construct sewer taps for customers’ homes as part of the project, including crossing streets with pipes if necessary, at no cost to the customers. The City of Hustonville will also inspect each sewer connection at a fee of $100 and customers will need to notify the Hustonville Water Office once construction of their sewer pipes is complete. Once sewers are connected to the new system, households are instructed to pump and disconnect old septic tanks from the home. Perma-Liner Industries wants to help you with your connections to the sewer by recommending one of our certified professionals. For the best referral in the business please give us a call. Louisville’s Proactive Water Authority

Louisville Water Company (LWC) is a proud member of the Partnership for Safe Water, a unique cooperative effort between Environment Protection Agency (EPA), American Water Works Association, Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies, National Association of Water Companies, and Association of State Drinking Water Administrators. The Partnership encourages and assists United States water suppliers to voluntarily enhance their surface water treatment plants performance for greater control of pollutants, parasites, and other microbial contaminants. LWC has participated in the Partnership since 2000 and has met the requirements for Phases I, II, and III at both the B.E. Payne and Crescent Hill Treatment Plants. Phase I requires completion of an extensive membership application. Phase II requires data collection and reporting on baseline turbidity results for both raw and finished water every year. Phase III requires completion of a comprehensive self-assessment evaluation that is reviewed by a team of utility peers. In 2010, LWC received the Ten-Year Director’s Award. Only 32 utilities in the United States have achieved this level of performance by consistently exceeding EPA drinking standards. LWC submits an annual report that demonstrates continued compliance with Phase III requirements. Also in 2010, LWC received the Phase IV Excellence in Water Treatment award for its B.E. Payne Water Treatment Plant. A team of utility peers reviews a rigorous assessment report of plant information and determines if optimized performance has been achieved. This plant is one of only eight in the country to achieve this status. Rainy Season and Sewer Drainage Systems

Many of us are experiencing a rainy season now that summer is in full swing.  Along with the sunny delights and fanfare this time of year brings, there is also a need to think about the proper functioning of our drainage systems where we live.  It is important to know to what extent a drainage issue is prevalent.  In order to do this, a qualified fully licensed professional is needed for drain pipe cleaning. This will also maximize your awareness of the health of the pipelines in your home.  Here are a few suggestions when seeking the help of an expert: 1. Get referrals from people you know.  Word of mouth advertising speaks volumes on the overall satisfaction of previous jobs. 2. Check for a license to operate within your state. 3. Perma-liner is coming to Louisville to do demonstrations!!

Perma-liner is coming to Louisville to do demonstrations!! SLB Pipe Solutions completed pipelining job using Perma-Liner equipment and materials on a large diameter sprinkler supply line at a Honda plant. They had multiple longitudinal cracks 15 feet under a new $4 million reinforced concrete delivery road that was poured in the resent weeks. They were losing just about 200 gpm and had the pumps working almost constantly.  The access to the pipe was inside the delivery bay of the Honda plant that was an 8″ pipe with 3 – 90 degree bends and went for 25′ until it transitioned to 10″. Due to the access pipe being 24″ off the floor running vertically, and the length of the pipe to be lined we had to use a scissor lift and 15 feet of delivery hose to fit the material into the inverter.  The inversion went flawlessly and the customer has not had any more issues with the supply line.  If you near the Louisville area, and have pipelining needs please contact 866-336-2568. Perma-Liner will be providing pipelining demonstrations with our inverters and iapmo, icc and ups approved materials at our Corporate Headquarters March 25th – 27th, please register at...

It is a unique one-piece liner made to fit all manholes including barrel section, eccentric and concentric cones constructed of brick and mortar, precast or block. Sectional Point Repair — This system reduces job costs including labor, equipment, materials, traffic control and unforeseen liabilities. Robotic and Mechanical Reinstatement Cutters — This demo will include the latest technology in robotic and mechanical reinstatement tools. “This will be our last event of the year is not one to be missed,” Trouard says. ...
