Good news for Jeffersonville! Our residents are in line to get a new combined sewer pipe for purposes of not only complying with the EPA, but to reduce backflow into Cane Run Creek. The project will require 660 feet of sewer pipe and will separate sewer and storm lines as an effective strategy to reduce overflow concerns. Residents should expect the project to be completed in approximately 4 months. Both the City and Wastewater dept. are working together on this ground plan, and have confirmed it is the most affordable option after implementation. The EPA has been talking to the City about making the necessary changes for approximately 6 years.
